The sales conversation for Quorum-QaaS (4-region PBFT)
A word-for-word starting point. Make it sound like you after the first few calls.
The shape of every call (same for all 25)
- Open with their world, not ours (1 minute). One sentence about a problem they likely have. Never start with "CAIN-42 is a Byzantine trust fabric"; say that later, when they ask how it works.
- Discover (5-10 minutes). Ask the questions below and listen. Write down their exact words; you will use them in the follow-up email.
- Show (5 minutes). Run the live demo with them watching. Nothing is pre-recorded: every button calls the real product. Let them pick an attack.
- Offer (2 minutes). One offer, one price, one date. Do not list all 25 products.
- Next step (1 minute). Before you hang up, agree a date: payment, a scoping call with the founder, or a "no".
Openers (pick one)
- "If a customer asked you to prove your AI logs were not edited, what would you show them?"
- "We get your records confirmed by four servers in four regions, so even we cannot change them afterwards."
- "I can show you a real receipt and how to check it yourself in about two minutes."
Discovery questions
Ask, then stop talking. Each question tells you whether they have the problem and how much it matters.
- Where do your AI agent logs live today, and who can edit them?
- Has anyone ever questioned whether a log or record was complete?
- Who outside your company would need to trust your records?
- How often do you produce records you might need to defend later?
- Would you be comfortable sending a fingerprint (not the content) to an outside service?
- Do you need certified legal timestamps, or tamper evidence?
The five-minute live demo
Share your screen. Everything below calls the real product, so it can occasionally be slow or rate limited (a "429" means too many tries from one address; wait a minute). Practise it three times before your first call.
- Live demo: get the live cluster status, then verify a real published receipt.
- Attack lab: run-all: edit the receipt, swap a vote, rename the cluster; each one is refused.
- Verify: show the offline checker and point out that it refuses to run without a pinned key.
- The cluster: show the four regions and explain 3 of 4 must agree.
Objections and honest answers
| They say | You answer |
|---|---|
| "Isn't this just a blockchain?" | No tokens, no fees and no public chain. Four known servers run a classic consensus protocol and sign their votes. |
| "You run all four servers, so why trust you?" | A fair point, and we say so on the limits page: Byzantine tolerance protects against a faulty server, not against the operator of all four. Independent operators are the next step. |
| "How fast is it?" | About 2.6 seconds per fingerprint. Right for evidence, wrong for a real-time request path. |
| "What does it cost?" | There is no published price yet. Today we include it in an evidence pack; the founder can quote volume use. |
| "Do you see our data?" | No. You send only a fingerprint. The content never leaves you. |
If you do not know an answer: "Good question. I will get you a precise answer from our engineers by tomorrow." Then email the founder. Never guess.
