CAIN Digital Twin, explained for beginners
Digital Twin simulates an agent's action first and rejects it if the blast radius is too big or it can't be modelled.
What it is
Before an agent touches production, it helps to know what would change. Digital Twin simulates the proposed action and estimates its blast radius.
Within the envelope: the action may proceed. Outside it: rejected with the reason. An action type the twin cannot model is rejected, never waved through.
An everyday comparison
A flight simulator for each risky manoeuvre: if the simulator can't model it, you don't fly it.
How it works, in 4 steps
- The agent proposes an action.
- The twin simulates it.
- Side effects are counted.
- Within the envelope: proceed. Otherwise or unknown: rejected.
